Founders & Directors
Daniel and Emilee met while serving in Guatemala in 2013. They got married in Emilee’s hometown of Cincinnati, OH in 2014. Daniel, born and raised in Guatemala, became a U.S. citizen in 2018. Emilee graduated with a Bachelors of Social Work from Miami University (OH) and first fell in love with the country of Guatemala on a short-term mission trip, her sophomore year of college. Daniel and Emilee founded Lifting Kids after feeling God’s calling to empower children in Guatemala. They have two beautiful children, Gio (8) and Camila (5), as well as two family pups, Charley and Ryder.
